Management Accountant | London (Hybrid) Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 plus benefits Type: Permanent Sector: Private Equity Backed SME A fast growing, private equity backed group headquartered in London is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join its expanding finance team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role will focus on delivering accurate and timely month end reporting, with proven experience in reducing and improving month end close times essential. The position will also involve improving finance processes and workbooks, managing large, legacy and complex data sets, and providing clear, actionable insights to support commercial decision making in a fast paced environment where attention to detail is critical. With ongoing growth and transformation across the business, this is an excellent opportunity for a finalist or qualified accountant who thrives in a dynamic setting and wants to play a hands-on role in developing a maturing finance function. Personality and cultural fit will be just as important as technical expertise. The Role: Lead the month end close process, ensuring timely, accurate journals, reconciliations, and reporting. Prepare management accounts, annual financial statements, and statutory reports with variance analysis and commentary. Proven ability to manage and analyse large, legacy, and messy data sets, ensuring data integrity and producing reliable insights for decision-making. Maintain balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and intercompany balances. Review revenue and P&L against budget/forecast with MDs, providing insights on performance and key drivers. Delegate tasks to the management accountant and trainee accountant, without direct line management responsibility. Prepare and submit VAT and ONS returns, and support audit fieldwork to ensure robust controls and documentation. Enhance accounting processes, internal controls, and workflows, driving automation and best practices. Support finance system implementation and broader compliance activities. About You: Fully qualified accountant or finalist (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with demonstrable experience. Experienced in leading month-end and year-end closes, with a track record of successfully reducing close times. Skilled at managing large, legacy, and complex data sets, including cleaning and reconciling messy information. Proficient in financial reporting, variance analysis, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making. Strong technical accounting knowledge and expertise across core accounting principles. Experienced with Xero and QuickBooks, with advanced Excel capabilities. Focused on process improvement, implementing robust controls and streamlining workflows. Excellent business partnering, collaboration, and communication skills. Why Join? Senior Finance Manager Initial 3 month contract - Strong potential temp to perm London based - Hybrid working Day rate - £300-350 / day - Inside IR35 A growing independent creative agency is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to sit at the heart of the business, bridging financial control and financial strategy. The Role: This is a senior hands on role acting as a key commercial partner to the Finance Director and senior leadership team. You will provide insight and analysis to support business decisions, growth plans and investment choices, while leading budgeting, forecasting and re-forecasting across the agency. You will model scenarios around new business wins, resourcing, pricing and profitability and support long term financial planning and overall agency strategy. Alongside the Financial Controller, you will own the monthly management accounts, ensuring clarity, accuracy and meaningful insight. Working closely with operations and client teams, you will help optimise resourcing and utilisation, support pricing and commercial structures, and bring financial discipline to project delivery in a way that supports creativity rather than restricts it. You will also contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes, tools and systems, helping the business prepare for growth and increasing complexity.
