Modern Slavery Statement
Financial year ending 31 December 2026
1. Introduction
This Modern Slavery Statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps Newstone Talent Solutions Ltd has taken during the financial year ending 31 December 2026 to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.
2. Our Business
Newstone Talent Solutions Ltd is a specialist recruitment consultancy operating within the United Kingdom. We connect skilled professionals with employers across various sectors including Accountancy and Finance, Change and Transformation, Business Intelligence and Data, and Information Technology. Our registered office is in London and our company number is 11366729.
3. Our Commitment
We have a zero tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking in all its forms. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships, and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.
4. Our Supply Chains
Our supply chains are relatively limited and primarily consist of professional services providers, technology vendors, and office suppliers. As a service based business, we do not manufacture goods or operate in sectors typically associated with a high risk of modern slavery. However, we recognise that modern slavery can occur in any sector and we remain vigilant.
5. Policies and Procedures
We have implemented the following policies and procedures to help identify, prevent, and mitigate the risk of modern slavery:
- Recruitment policy with robust vetting procedures including right to work checks
- Whistleblowing policy encouraging staff to report any concerns without fear of retaliation
- Supplier code of conduct requiring compliance with applicable labour laws
- Anti-slavery and human trafficking policy setting out our zero tolerance stance
- Regular training for relevant staff on recognising and responding to modern slavery risks
6. Due Diligence
As part of our efforts to identify and mitigate risk, we:
- Conduct pre-employment checks on all employees including right to work verification
- Assess potential new suppliers for compliance with modern slavery legislation
- Require key suppliers to confirm their adherence to anti-slavery principles
- Maintain clear reporting channels for employees and workers to raise concerns
- Regularly review and update our risk assessments and procedures
7. Training
We provide training to relevant members of staff to ensure they understand the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. This training covers how to identify the signs of modern slavery, how to report concerns, and our policies and procedures for addressing these issues.
8. Performance Indicators
We use the following key performance indicators to measure how effective we have been in ensuring that modern slavery is not taking place in our business or supply chains:
- Completion rate of right to work checks for all employees and contractors
- Number of reports received through whistleblowing channels
- Percentage of suppliers assessed for modern slavery risk
- Completion rate of modern slavery training by relevant staff
9. Looking Ahead
We are committed to continually improving our practices to combat modern slavery. Over the next financial year, we plan to enhance our supplier due diligence processes, expand training programmes, and further strengthen our internal policies to ensure we maintain the highest standards of ethical conduct.
